PROVIDE YOUR DETAILS

Provide your personal details and the reason for your call to ensure HealthNow is suitable to help you. Have your location details and email address ready and your preferred appointment time.

CHECK YOUR EMAIL

You’ll receive an email with your appointment time, terms of use and our privacy policy along with instructions on how to provide images if required. You’ll also receive instructions on how to set up your video call if requested.

HAVE YOUR DOCTOR CONSULTATION

The HealthNow Doctor will call you at your appointment time to conduct your consultation.

Please note the Doctor will call will from a private number.

PRESCRIPTIONS AND CERTIFICATES

The HealthNow Doctor may decide you need a prescription. If they do, and it’s urgent, it will be faxed to your requested pharmacy.

If you need a doctors certificate, it will be emailed to you.

CARE SUMMARY

With your consent, the HealthNow Doctor will send a summary of your call and details of any treatment provided to your regular GP for their records.

SEEING EYE TO EYE

The best tool in a doctor’s bag is often a well asked question. While there are many conditions best suited to a face to face consultation, our HealthCare doctors have undertaken additional training in telemedicine to ask the best questions to get the right answers to help you. You may also be asked to send in an image to aid your consultation. You can also have your consultation via video conference if you have the right equipment.


HOW IS TELSTRA INVOLVED

In 2013 Telstra Health was formed with the belief that technology can create a better connected healthcare system and make healthcare easier for patients and providers.

We’re making healthcare more accessible, at lower cost, to deliver better health outcomes. HealthNow was launched in July 2014 in Australia’s first purpose built telemedicine centre, hiring experienced Australian based doctors to provide 24/7 care.

Currently, the free HealthNow service is available in WA’s Great Southern, Wheatbelt, South West, Midwest and Goldfields regions.
